Each day Studio Glow is growing with more on offer and a passionate team of ladies that deliver services with that fabulous glow attached. We believe in building strong women who glow from the inside out and we deliver on that - just ask a Glow Girl when you see one!
Abby Dutton - Company Director, Professional Dancer, Personal Trainer, Glow Group Fitness Instructor
Abby is a classically-trained professional dancer, growing up in Hamilton passionate and immersed in everything dance. She then went on to gain a Diploma of Musical Theatre and Dance Teaching qualifications after 2 years full-time training at the Apollo Theatre School in Auckland. She has travelled the world extensively onboard cruise liners and danced in the Bollywood Film Industry in India.
Throughout her careers, highlights include, role of Dance Educator for the Royal New Zealand Ballet, Guest teaching, Adjudicating at dance competitions nationwide, Choreographing competitor routines and show work, Super Rugby Cheerleading, Managing and Instructing at several performing arts workshops, and mentoring young, upcoming performers on the Dance Industry.
Following study in the fitness industry while working abroad, Abby is a Registered Personal Trainer and Group Fitness instructor with a great passion for holistic wellness and the fitness industry. Dance, Fitness and Beauty are Abby’s passions and she believes there is huge power in finding exactly what makes you glow.
Whether under the lights, in a layer of perspiration or in the shade of bronze, all that matters is that you find YOUR GLOW. Studio Glow is where you head to do just that.
Larissa Glasgow - Glow Cardio Instructor & Personal Trainer
Larissa graduated from The Waikato Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Science and has since been focused on supporting and inspiring others to live a healthy, happy lifestyle.
Participating in a variety of sports including competitive swimming, Larissa has always been a very active person, having also found a love for Group Fitness. She is passionate about motivating and empowering others and enjoys having the power to create a great atmosphere as a Group Instructor and Personal Trainer.
Using knowledge in areas of Health and Fitness such as Strength and Conditioning, Pilates, Bodyweight and Free weight training, Larissa’s mission is to help her clients to achieve their fitness goals, assisting them with gaining confidence, strength and happiness that they deserve and allowing them to sense pride in themselves and how far they have come.
She understands that working out consistently while trying to juggle everyday life can be a struggle for many, however loves to motivate and help to guide every step of the way!
Lizzy Burn - Glow Rhythm Instructor & Glow Dance Teacher
Lizzy has been dancing most of her life, was involved in studio life for most of her childhood. She completed exams with American Jazz Dance Affiliation for Jazz Ballet and with the RAD for Classical Ballet. She has also had training in Contemporary, Tap, Lyrical and Musical Theatre.
Lizzy began teaching at 16 and helped develop the dance school within a new arts academy with students ranging from 3 to adult. Lizzy became NZMAD registered and attended teacher courses as well as utilizing their examination material.
In terms of her own performance work, Lizzy has a passion for Musical Theatre and has been involved with several creative companies such as Hamilton Operatic Society, Musikmakers and Playbox based at the Riverlea Theatre, and Gaslight Theatre Company. She enjoys the marriage of the arts within Musical Theatre as she has a love for both singing and acting.
As well as her passion for dance she has a desire to educate. She has recently graduated The University of Waikato with a Bachelors in Primary Education and is currently completing her Secondary Teaching degree specializing in dance education.
Lizzy has a passion for empowering others with the confidence that comes with dance. Everyone should have the chance to experience the passion of Martha, the individuality of Fosse and find the Ginger to their Fred.
Sally Potts - Glow Yoga Instructor
Passionate instructor and Mum Sally has 23 years experience working in the leisure and fitness sector. Having worked in a variety of different styles of gym environments, her teaching always promotes health and wellbeing within the community.
Sally is gifted with the ability to vary her teaching style to all age groups and abilities in her classes, to give participants their best experience in learning their body. In more recent years, Sally has set her focus on Yoga and Pilates which we are so lucky to have part of our Glow Timetable!
Sana Narna - Glow Lyric Instructor
With 22 years dance experience including 7 tears teaching, Sana brings a wealth of dance knowledge to the Glow Team.
Sana has trained in Ballet (RAD - Royal Academy of Dance), BBO -British Ballet Organization) Jazz (American Jazz Dance Association, BBO) and Contemporary (New Zealand Syllabus). She has also carried out Australasian dance exams along with BBO medal tests.
As a young dancer, Sana competed in competitions over the country and since starting teaching, has gained experience in competition dance/show choreography.
Sana has a firm belief that no 2 students are the same and that when everyone leaves her classes tired and with a smile then she has succeeded!
She looks forward to meeting new Glow Girls and helping them to reach their fullest potential in dance.
Sue Hunter - Glow Rush Instructor
Sue has a different perspective - She knows how hard it is to make that change from fat to fit.
Sue started out life as the fat unfit person who had to turn everything around. A passion was discovered for running. Over the next 6+ years, she has grown from 6k to 21k, then 42, 50,102, a Half Ironman and 122k.
With this experience, she now coaches running for beginners and intermediates.
The journey she took into practising running was enough to motivate her into a career.
After studying at Fitlink online, a career was born. A chance to show people that movement is fun and they don’t have to settle. An opportunity to teach them how to move, so they may have the confidence to do it in the future. Sue has since also become Bronze (soon to be Silver) certified in ZUU training (body weight oriented movement, focusing on increasing mobility and fitness) which works along running well. In Sues classes you'll sense her strong desire to help people make that first step into the healthier, happier them.
Sarah Bussell - Glow Yoga Instructor
Having been involved in yoga for 7 years, having experienced the transformational effects that it brought to her life, Sarah, decided to train to become a Yoga Teacher. She wanted to be able to share the experience of having a personal yoga practice and have other gain from the many amazing benefits and empowerment that it can bring to ones life.
Sarah previously had a career in beauty therapy as a make up artist, nail technician and massage therapist while also being a trained facilitator in cognitive behavioural therapy and a Reiki Master.
Sarah is passionate about sharing yoga as a way to help create a healthy body, calm mind and open heart.
Millie McPherson - Glow Mumma Instructor
Millie is passionate about empowering women to live life to the fullest in order to reach their fitness/personal goals. She is a firm believer that we can unlock our full potential while creating amazing healthy women who are strong in mind, body and heart.
As a busy mum, she understands the need to stay active and healthy in order to meet the commitments of taking care of a family, running a household, working and self-care.
Millie understands how a women’s body changes during and after pregnancy & how important it is to adapt while training differently & safely as we go about healing, strengthening not only our body’s but our minds to the changes that motherhood brings.
Millie loves working with women/ mums of all fitness levels – pre & post baby, with and without their children and consistantly seeks new ideas, up skill and complete ongoing personal development relevant to women’s fitness, hypopressive & pelvic floor strength training.
Millie believes we all deserve to feel amazing , have fun & live well – finding the balance that’s right for each person is a key to their success!
Natalie Allam - Glow Burlesque-Fit Instructor
Natalie has been tapping her feet and rocking around the dance floor since she was 6 years old. With a background in Rock n Roll and a love for the days of old, Natalie discovered Burlesque in 2011 and falling head over heals for the glitz, glamour and encourage acceptance of all body types, Natalie launched her Burlesque career and hasn't looked back.
Performing all over NZ and producing Burlesque shows in NZ, Natalie also ran Burlesque inspired fitness classes in Hamilton in 2016 & 2017.
After taking a break, she has joined the Studio Glow team instructing Burlesque-Fit.
Natalie's teaching style is to accept what you have and work that sexy into a sassy sweat! Burlesque is all about embracing and empowering women to feel sexy in their own skin, even if it's sweaty!
At Studio Glow, we love to collaborate. Working with other like-minded and inspired people, we are able to bring Glow to women in more ways than what Studio Glow alone can provide.
